Our mated Buckfast Queens are reared from the best breeding stock available. Our isolated nursery apiary is surrounded by 40-50 excellent F0 colonies unrelated to the breeder queens. These provide the drones to ensure your queen has the best chance of being well mated and passing on the desired characteristics to her offspring. We look for evidence of a full brood cycle of laying before we send out queens to customers. We usually have queens available from the middle of May until the end of September.
